PVC-U / PVC-C Pressure-Temperature Derating Curve

PVC-U / PVC-C Pressure-Temperature Derating Curve

Below 0 °C, the maximum pressure remains around 10 bar. As temperature increases, pressure resistance decreases—dropping to about 3 bar at 60 °C and approaching 0 bar near 90 °C, beyond which the material is unsuitable for use.

PVDF and PP-H Pressure-Temperature Derating Curve

At around 0 °C, both materials have a maximum pressure rating of 10 bar. PVDF (yellow curve) maintains better pressure resistance at higher temperatures—about 4 bar at 80 °C and usable up to roughly 100 °C. In contrast, PP-H (purple curve) drops to nearly 0 bar around 80 °C, making it more suitable for medium- to low-temperature applications.

Working Pressure and Corresponding Flow Rate

The curve shows the relationship between pressure and flow rate. The starting point represents the set pressure at a flow rate of Q = 0 l/h, while the curve indicates the pressure loss (Δp) as flow rate increases.
