Material
  • Enhanced versatility and exceptional resistance to chloride-induced pitting: HASTELLOY® C-22® alloy (UNS N06022) is one of the well-known and well-proven nickelchromium-molybdenum materials, the chief attributes of which are resistance to both oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals, and protection from pitting, crevice attack, and stress corrosion cracking. Its high chromium content provides much higher resistance to oxidizing media than the family standard, C-276 alloy, and imparts exceptional resistance to chloride-induced pitting, an insidious and unpredictable form of attack, to which the stainless steels are prone.

  • Like other nickel alloys, HASTELLOY® C-22® alloy is very ductile, exhibits excellent weldability, and is easily fabricated into industrial components. It is available in the form of plates, sheets, strips, billets, bars, wires, pipes, tubes, and covered electrodes. Typical chemical process industry (CPI) applications include reactors, heat exchangers, and columns.

Brand Story

Haynes International is one of the world’s largest developer, manufacturers, and distributors of high‐performance nickel‐ and cobalt‐based alloys for use in high‐ temperature and corrosion applications. Our standard product forms include sheet and plate, bar and billet, seamless and welded pipe and tubing, wire and welding consumables, fittings and flanges.

HASTELLOY® alloys are known throughout the world as the premier corrosion resistant alloys which was invented by Haynes International. These alloys have been used in severe process environments such as those encountered in the chemical process industry, metal pickling facilities, flue gas desulfurization scrubbers, electronics manufacturing, nuclear fuel reprocessing, and in a wide variety of hazardous waste management technologies where high corrosion resistance of critical equipment is required for reliability, safety, and cost effectiveness/reduced maintenance.

Haynes International has manufacturing facilities in Kokomo, Indiana; Arcadia, Louisiana; and Mountain Home, North Carolina. The Kokomo facility specializes in flat products, the Arcadia facility specializes in tubular products and the Mountain Home facility specializes in high‐performance wire products. Worldwide sales offices and service centers stock all product forms and offer processing capabilities including many types of specialized cutting. All of these centers are company‐operated.

HASTELLOY®, C-22®, and HAYNES® Trademark were registered by HAYNES INTERNATIONAL.
